Onkoud B.V. — Your Creative Hub in Eindhoven
We're passionate about bringing quality craft and art supplies to hobbyists across Eindhoven. From vibrant paints to premium knitting materials, we've curated everything you need to bring your creative vision to life.
How onkoud B.V. Started
We didn't start as a shop. We started as artists and makers ourselves. Back in 2019, a group of us were scattered across Eindhoven — painters frustrated with limited supply options, knitters struggling to find quality yarns, DIY enthusiasts looking for genuine materials. We'd spend weekends hunting through shops, ordering from far away, settling for less than what we really wanted.
That's when we realized something obvious: Eindhoven deserved better. Our city's got incredible creative energy, but the infrastructure wasn't there. So we decided to build it. We partnered with manufacturers we trust, visited studios and workshops across Europe, and hand-selected everything we stock. It wasn't about selling stuff — it's about understanding what creators actually need.
Today, onkoud B.V. isn't just our business. It's become a gathering point for the creative community here. We've hosted workshops, supported local artists, and built relationships with hundreds of hobbyists who've made something amazing with materials from our shelves. That matters to us more than inventory numbers ever could.
What We Specialize In
We focus on three core areas, each curated with serious attention to quality and usability.
Professional Paints & Mediums
Acrylics, oils, watercolors — brands that serious painters trust. We stock Winsor & Newton, Liquitex, and emerging makers. Not every paint line, just the ones that actually perform.
Premium Yarn & Textiles
Merino, alpaca, cotton blends — fibers that feel right in your hands. We work with spinners and mills that care about sustainability and quality. Fingering weight to chunky, we've got range.
DIY & Mixed Media
Illustration papers, mixed media pads, tools for construction. Whether you're building installations or detailed drawings, we stock materials for serious makers who don't compromise.
Drawing & Sketching Supplies
Pencils, charcoal, pastels, fine-tip markers. From student-grade to professional sets. We understand that sketching is where most creative work begins.
Materials We Carry
Painting Supplies
Canvas, brushes, palettes, solvents. Every category represents actual artist feedback on what works.
Knitting & Crochet
Needles, hooks, stitch markers, patterns. We've tested everything ourselves before stocking it.
Craft Tools
Cutting mats, rulers, adhesives, sculpting tools. Quality hardware makes every project better.
Why Creators Choose onkoud B.V.
We're not a generic supply warehouse. Here's what actually sets us apart.
Curated Selection
We don't stock everything. We stock what works. Every product has been tested by someone on our team or recommended by artists we respect. That means fewer choices, but better ones.
Local Knowledge
We're embedded in Eindhoven's creative community. We understand what hobbyists here actually make, what challenges they face, what they're excited about. That shapes everything we do.
Real Expertise
Our team includes painters, knitters, sculptors, and makers. We don't just sell supplies — we understand how you'll use them. That changes how we help.
Sustainable Sourcing
We work with suppliers who care about environmental impact. Not every brand, but the ones we partner with — that's non-negotiable for us.
The Creative Community We've Built
Onkoud B.V. has become more than a shop. We've hosted workshops where local artists share techniques. We've supported exhibitions featuring work made with our materials. We've connected hobbyists who didn't know each other, and now they're collaborating on projects.
That's the thing about creative communities — they thrive when there's genuine investment. We're not just selling. We're building. Every conversation at our counter, every workshop we run, every recommendation we make — it's part of something bigger.
